fledgling

The robins recently had their second brood of the season and the little fledglings can be found everywhere in our garden. It surprises me that they come so close to the house: sitting on the front porch when we come home from the grocery store, or resting on the back deck as this one is doing here. They're so clumsy, helpless, and utterly adorable.
