september storm

A stormed kicked up this evening, seemingly out of nowhere. I was outside with the dog, and my camera of course, taking another picture of a monarch butterfly, when a huge gust of wind blew said butterfly right off of the flower (kind of comical actually) and suddenly there were swirling leaves everywhere--like the best of the best autumn storms. The sky darkened, the clouds churned, and I was in my glory. Snapped these photos, which really don't do the sky justice. Unfortunately, the storm has continued East, and guess what? No rain. Blerg.
