Apart from my wedding band, I honestly don't wear very much jewelry day-to-day. However, I do have a VAST pile of costume and a tiny nest egg of fine jewelry, because I just can't help myself; I am a magpie, after all. I'm going to have quite a collection to hand down to my daughter someday.
Rather than share everything in my jewelry box, *yawn*, here are the few items I wear on a regular basis whenever I put the pliers down, spiff myself up and actually leave the house!

This is my engagement ring. It was designed and created by my husband's grandfather (great, great?) is an antique and has been handed down. I'm so incredibly honored to be it's current owner. It is comprised of sapphires and European cut diamonds in white gold. The ring band is a size 4 which perfectly fit my very tiny finger without needing to be resized. It was a Cinderella moment!

If I wear necklaces it's either this one I bought from MsBelle on Etsy, (which for the moment I can't find because I think my cat took it and that's no joke), or the vintage faux pearl and rhinestone "moon necklace" OR my pearls my father bought for me upon college graduation. The moon necklace has a nice weight; I think the pearl is glass, and I like to play with it when I wear it. The pearls, well, you can never go wrong with those, right?
The bracelet is my own design. After spending what seemed like forever creating it, (setting all of those stones....) I decided I should keep it. My husband always says I need to wear my own stuff more so this one I wear when we are going out. It's like wearing a sparkling train track on my wrist. (That sounds weird, I know).

If I wear earrings, I prefer clip-ons, and these right now are my two favorite pairs. Bought at a flea market, I love to imagine what the fancy lass who wore them before me was like. I'm more of a dress casually kind of gal, but I like to add glam earrings--it's my one fashion statement.

I've been playing around with my metalsmithing tools lately, and a lot of what I make I don't feel confident enough to sell in my shops--like this ring. I prefer larger rings, and this cabochon takes up most of my finger. I suppose if I were ever in a fight, it would be a handy thing to have around, haha. I love the patterns in the stone--they remind me of a pond filled with lily pads.
If you decide you would like to share what is in your jewelry box, post the link here in the comments section. I would love to check it out!

Thanks for sharing Lara! I love all the new precious rings you've been making lately too!
Thank you Mary Grace! I enjoyed reading yours, as well. This was a really great idea you had...it was a lot of fun putting this together. :)
Aside from your precious gems and diamonds, I personally love your earrings! I adore the design of the green one and how creative it appears.
Thank you Jeffry! :)
That's a gorgeous engagement ring! And the fact that it's a family heirloom gives it value no amount of money can hope to buy! I'd like to see that cabochon ring on your finger too! I'm not much a fan of huge rings; a simple band with studs in them suits me.
Hi Bridget! Thank you for your comment and your kind words!
