As Halloween approaches, I've been asking my daughter if she is dressing up this year. I'm happily surprised that she wants to wear a costume (mouse) as the past few years she hasn't felt like doing much of anything except hand out candy--I think she thought she was "too old" to participate, but my thought is, you're never too old! I love dressing up, even if it's just taking down my Professor McGonagall witch hat I bought in Salem. I just dug out this old picture of my sister and I waiting for Halloween when we were children. (That's me on the couch--guess I always enjoyed my naps.) That gold tutu was my absolute favorite--I wore it around the house even when it wasn't Halloween! Is anyone else dressing up this year? What are your plans?

you two haven't changed a bit! seems like yesterday. ha ha. soooo cute!!
I too remember that day as if it was yesterday! Wonder what happened to the rug pillow thing you are sleeping on? You just got tired of waiting until it got dark.... Such a lovely memory, thank you for sharing it!
Halloween is my favorite holiday! (probably because I don't have to buy or make gifts for anyone and I can just buy weird stuff & candy and more importantly EAT candy!)
I'm a witch every year, although I don't have a hat, so maybe I'm just a creepy lady with crazy hair w/ frog & lizard barrettes and lizards sewn to her robe / dress. Yeah, I freak out some small children when trying to get them to OPEN the bag so I can shove the candy inside... but, ah, when else does anyone knock on your door not asking for money or trying to convert you to Mormanism?
I love Halloween, and that photo totally made me chuckle!
