I'm a bit sad as I write this post, as this will be the last time I share any roses from my garden for at least another 6 months as we head into the dark days of winter. *sniff*
I know I'm not supposed to cut any flowers off in fall (to encourage the plant to go dormant), but I heard a rumor we were going to get snow flurries soon, and I just couldn't imagine my beautiful roses left outside to freeze...I had to bring a least a few indoors. What you're seeing here are: Peace, Knock Out, Pinata, and (my favorite) Abraham Darby. I wish convey the scent to you through the computer, too, because it is pure heaven--the smell of a warm June day.
EDIT: Whoever said it was going to get cold enough for snow flurries was talking crazy! It was in the 70's all weekend, and this warm trend is supposed to continue for the rest of the week. Mayhap they were thinking of this time last year when we had a foot of snow already on the ground?
